佐柳島というと、空飛ぶ猫の島、飛び猫の島など躍動的な猫が多く、プロ、アマ問わず多くの猫写真家たちが訪れる島です。交通も、比較的行きやすく、猫島入門としてもうってつけの島です。集落は、本浦と長崎の2つがあり、徒歩で20分程度離れております。船はどちらも寄港しますが、両方よらないケースもあるので、ご注意を。また、土日は隣の真鍋島へのフェリーも1便出ており、真鍋島も猫島として有名なので、ダブルで行く人も多いです。島の中央部にはネコノシマホステルという廃校を利用した簡易宿舎もあります。

先述しましたが、佐柳島の猫たちは活発で、港の防波堤や集落の塀を器用に行き来しております。アクティブで野性味あふれる猫と、瀬戸内海の美しい景色を堪能できます。

Sanagi Island is an island where many cat photographers visit, regardless of whether they are professional or amateur, such as flying cat islands and flying cat islands. Traffic is relatively easy to reach, making it an ideal island for getting started with Nekojima. There are two villages, Honura and Nagasaki, which are about 20 minutes away on foot. Both ships call at the port, but be aware that there are cases where both are not. Also, on Saturdays and Sundays, there is one ferry to the neighboring Manabe Island, and Manabe Island is also famous as Nekojima, so many people go by double. In the central part of the island, there is a simple dormitory using a closed school called Nekonoshima Hostel.

As I mentioned earlier, the cats of Sayanagi Island are active and come and go around the port breakwaters and village walls. You can enjoy an active and wild cat and a beautiful view of the Setouchi Sea.
