炭鉱の島として有名な池島。かつては7700人の人口を有しており、かなりの人口密度の島でした。現在はその２％足らず。廃墟の島、炭鉱見学の島として最近は脚光を浴びており、観光客はそれなりにいて、船も結構出ております。ただし、港までのアクセスは微妙です。

猫はかあちゃんの店付近で、餌付けされているので、そのあたりに多数おります。廃墟の町中を散歩していることも多いので、それなりに遭遇します。

廃墟と猫という不思議な景色の写真が撮れる、おすすめの島です。廃墟・炭鉱がウリの島で、猫はアピールされていないので、隠れた猫の島だと思います。
