男木島（香川県）Ogijima (Kagawa Prefecture) - 猫の島探検隊～猫密度　Cat searching in Japan

まずは男木島の基本情報

面積　1.34㎢

人口　150人くらい

交通　高松港からフェリーで40分

猫密度　港付近に多少いる感じ。全体的には高くはない。

高松市内からも簡単に行ける男木島は入門編にはちょうどいいかもしれません。猫島ではありませんがお隣の女木島も観光地ですし。ここ数年瀬戸内国際芸術祭等で盛り上がる瀬戸内海の香川県側。男木島も猫島というよりアートの島の方が有名かもしれませんね。猫は「さくら猫」という名で売り出そうとしておりますが、住民全体が賛成している感じではないです。そのため、若干野良猫化しており、警戒心の多い猫が多かったです。アートと猫、うまくいくといい写真が撮れそうですね。

あと余談ですが、茶トラ系の猫が多いです。
